                             CUCUMBER body lotion- D making

Cucumbers are drenched with moisture, and what better ingredient to hydrate dry skin on a hot summer day than cucumber? Stores sell cucumber products from facial lotions to body creams, but these specialty products can be rather expensive, and many contain artificial dyes and other unnatural ingredients.
You don't have to buy expensive cucumber body lotion in order to obtain the hydrating benefits of cucumber. You can make genuine cucumber body lotion, and this lotion is every bit as good or better than body lotion sold in stores. Once you discover how easy it is to make this creamy cucumber body lotion, you'll want to continue to make it rather than purchase expensive lower quality versions filled with unfamiliar ingredients.
Required Ingredients and Supplies
To make a 1-½ cup batch of cucumber body lotion you'll need 2 average-size garden-fresh cucumbers, ½ cup of lukewarm chamomile tea, and 4 tablespoons of glycerin. You'll also need a vegetable peeler, a food processor or blender, cheesecloth, a mixing bowl, a spoon, a knife, and a clean decorative jar or container with a tight-fitting lid.
You can purchase glycerin in craft stores and pharmacies, or you can purchase it online to obtain the best deal. Also, if you don't have cheesecloth, you can use a strainer instead.
Procedure
Begin preparing the cucumbers for processing by peeling them, slicing them down the center, and removing the seeds before cutting them into cubes. Place the cucumber chunks in a blender or food processor, and liquefy them. Strain the liquid cucumber through a section of cheesecloth to remove any clumps or seeds that were missed, and pour the liquefied cucumber into a bowl. Next, make the chamomile tea, and stir it into the glycerin. Stir the mixture until it's smooth, and poor it into a container that seals. Since this body lotion doesn't contain preservatives, it will require refrigeration, but it's a great way to cool and hydrate the skin on a hot summer day.
Gift-Giving Ideas
Don't keep this fantastic cucumber body lotion all to yourself. Cucumber body lotion will make a wonderful addition to a gift basket, or it can be offered as a solitary gift. Make some to put in a decorative bottle, and present it with a ribbon around the top. Anyone with dry skin would love to receive cucumber body lotion in a decorative container, so make a few extra batches to give as gifts to friends and loved ones. It's a heartfelt gift that will make a birthday, Mother's Day, or any other day special, and it's a great way to show how much you care.

Flood,Lagos and her Residents

Adewunmi kafayat

Lagos is a very low lying State, relatively flat in topography, near the Coast
(Atlantic Ocean) and is served by many Rivers as well as lagoons. Under normal circumstances, when water is to flow by natural means, (that is under the force of gravity), it does so from a higher level to a lower level.
It is now no doubt that a heavy downpour of rain would cause flood.
Nevertheless, Lagosians are the major cause of the present state they find themselves. You ask me why, that is because they never stop dumping
refuse into the drains, which sometimes do not get cleared as often as they should.

Also people construct buildings along natural drainage routes and on flood plains.
More so, many Nigerian roads have challenges of poor materials utilised for construction, poor design as well as poor supervision of coordination. There is the need to let people know that they have to change their orientation towards waste disposal. There should be enlightenment campaign to this effect. Drainage design can be changed in some heavily built areas of the city to meet disposal needs of the people. There could be open drains and covered drains to serve different areas of the metropolis.

If proper steps are taken, i believe flood will reduce in Lagos and water borne infections will be averted .

Adewunmi kafayat

The devastating effect of the Dana Plane Crash on the Anyene’s family was brought to fore again when the family pays its last respect to the six members who died in the ill fated Dana plane that crashed in Lagos last month.
The six members of the Anyene family include – Onyeka (44), his wife Maimuna (33) and four children namely Kamsiyonna, (3) Kainetochi, (2) Kaimarachi (2) and Kobichimee, (five months), who died in the Dana Airline crash last month in Lagos, were given a last burial at their home town, Ndiowu in Orumba North local government area of Anambra state in the most sober and solemn mood.

It was a horrible and devastating sight to behold when two ambulances carrying the six caskets arrived at Ndiowu at 10 am. The coffin carrying the body of the late Onyeka, the family head was taken into the edifice he built while he was still alive. After some few hours of burial rites, the bodies were immediately taken to Lawrence Anglican Church for funeral service.

The families who died in the ill fated plane crash in Lagos on sunday were described as an easy going and loving family.Different government officials attended the burial ceremony including Senator Andy Uba representing Anambra South in the senate, Senator Joy Emodi who is the presidential adviser on national assembly matters, former vice president, Dr. Alex Ekwueme , members of the national and state assemblies, as well as other traditional rulers.

It was an uncontrollable tears when the caskets were being brought down from the ambulances as people continue to ask the all important question of why the Anyenes should experience such death harvest even when the 44 year old Onyeka was seen as a philanthropist when he was alive.

Rest in peace, the anyene's.....

Ace broadcaster and cultural icon, Ambassador Olusegun Olusola goes home today as eminent Nigerians paid him last respects at his country home, Iperu, Ogun state.
It was indeed a celebration of life for the late icon as dignitaries who included the state Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, members of the diplomatic corps, artistes,  playwrights  among others graced the event and showered encomiums on the creator of the television soap opera ‘The village headmaster’.
The bishop of Methodist cathedral, Diocese of Remo central, Bishop Gboyega  Ohu, during the funeral service lamented both moral decadence and poor leadership in the country.
According to him, the country might not know peace, progress and security until the political class heed to the wishes of the poor masses and improve their lots.
“Mandela had millions of opportunities to enrich himself while in office but did not do so in the interest of the masses but Nigerian leaders only have interest in what they could scooped from the ‘Nigerian Goldmine’ he added.
Ohu however urged Nigerians to learn from the life of former President of South Africa, Nelson Mandela.
